This is my favorite song to date by the way. The lyrics are so inspirational. I think he's dedicating this song to anyone who's losing hope with love, to every man whose cheated love, to every woman who misses her first love. To every single person in the universe who has ever cheated or been cheated on, the people who want & need a second chance with love, but somewhere in their hearts they know that letting go is the only way to live. Maxwell explains it perfectly, saying that he hurt her, but her retaliation was dirty, he knows that the only way to come to a compromise will be to let her fly her pretty wings around. I think I'm in love with this song because it explains the tragedies of love, it conquers ego's and it helps men realize that it is OK to care for someone so deeply that she lights up your heart in ways you couldn't imagine. It shows women that sorry sometimes actually means sorry. Maxwell has always been a soul singer. Dating back to songs such as Lifetime & Fortunate. R&B is supposed to draw you in, it should capture your attention and your heart, love songs should make want to learn how to love. Songs with so much meaning should inspire your want for that feeling, the feeling of completeness, the feeling that keeps you up at night, the feeling that's whenever, or where ever, the feeling that you will never forget.
